Colon Cancer Check (CCC)
General Population
The fecal immunochemical test (FIT) is a screening test for average individuals 50-74 with no first-degree relative diagnosed with colorectal cancer. This test is completed every 2 years.
A requisition from your primary care provider is required.
If you do not have a provider you can request a FIT kit by calling 811.

Increased Risk Population
People with increased risk have a family history of colorectal cancer that includes 1 or more first - degree relatives. CCC recommends that people get screened with a colonoscopy starting at 50, or 10 years earlier than the age of their diagnosed relative. A referral from your provider or nurse practitioner is required to schedule a colonoscopy. If you do not have a doctor or nurse practitioner, please register with Health Care Connect at 1-800-445-1822 or visit Health Care Connect website.
